Poly-IQ acquires exclusive DACH distribution rights for DIJMEX compounds
How the industry is reducing CO2 via post-consumer and post-industrial recyclates
(Overath, February 2025) Poly-IQ GmbH – a leader in the development, production and distribution of the highest quality masterbatches, compounds and recyclates – is now the exclusive distribution partner for DIJMEX compounds in the DACH region as of 1st January 2025. Headquartered in the Netherlands, the company is one of the leading manufacturers of sustainable plastic compounds. Companies from consumer goods manufacturing, the automotive industry, electronics manufacturing, building and construction and, not least, medical technology and the packaging industry appreciate the excellent quality of DIJMEX products and are reducing their carbon footprint through the use of post-consumer recyclates, post-industrial recyclates, or a mixture of the two.
In addition to PC (polycarbonate), PC-ABS (polycarbonate/ABS) and ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene), industrial manufacturers in the DACH distribution territory will also be able to procure ASA (acrylic styrene acrylonitrile), PA (polyamide/nylon), PBT (polybutylene terephthalate) and PEI (polyether ether ketone) directly from Poly-IQ GmbH.
Compared to new products, the use of DIJMEX plastic compounds can reduce CO2 by up to 90%. Customers can enquire at DIJMEX directly concerning the potential for reduction they have, and it can be calculated in detail.
Post-consumer and post-industrial recyclates are becoming increasingly important for industrial production, especially due to the new EU regulation on packaging and packaging waste. As part of the European Green Deal, this EU regulation aims to increase the recycled component of packaging, among other goals. Depending on the type and purpose of the packaging, the recycled component is expected to be as high as 35% within 5 years.
With DIJMEX, Poly-IQ is also focusing on the “distribution” of its amassed expertise and visible values: founded in 1938, the family business describes itself as a company that attaches great importance to good location policy and social cohesion. Its most important guiding principle is: “Green plastics, great plastics”. Following this credo, the Dutch team has developed a corresponding CSR strategy, which can be read very transparently and in detail on the company’s website. What’s more, with DIJMEX, Poly-IQ has gained a partner that is aggressively tackling the topics of sustainable procurement and product responsibility. The foundation for this, for instance, is to be a carbon-neutral plant with a capacity of 12,000 tonnes per year and possible expansion to up to 18,000 tonnes, so as to spearhead the demand for sustainable PIR & PCR plastic compounds, but, above all, to herald the start of a greener future. Through continuous R&D activities in its own laboratory as well as strategic partnerships, the company is investing in achieving these long-term goals and in its core business, which includes the production of engineering plastics based on PIR and PCR.
DIJMEX is certified to ISO 9001-2015, ISO 14001-2015 and ISO 45001. With the “Dijmex Quality” mark, the company provides proof of careful monitoring before, during and after production, thereby guaranteeing consistent compound properties.
The products can now be ordered via Poly-IQ.
